The group Oxyron was born in late 1991, to be more precise in the cold month December. The roots can be found in the group TIF (The Incredible Fanatics), which later on renamed into Gloom, being finally fed up with the old group name. After some people discredited this label Oxyron got born. The origin of the name is an ancient Egyptian province known as Oxyrynchos , the short form is simply OXYRON. Founding members, which still belong to the group, were AKC, Graham, Slide, Starfax and TTS.
With the release of COMA LIGHT 1 on the CBM 64 right before The Party 1991 the biggest demo series ever released has been started, still a record being far away from being broken by any particular group on any computer system. The rest was history as Oxyron still belongs to the top demo groups on this platform.
On the Amiga Oxyron contributed at the competition at THE PARTY 1994 with the almost legendary demo Killing Time, a production being described as time killer in most Amiga scene magazines released after the party. Next to the production of demos activity level got enlarged into direction tools and a game, which are supposed to be released in a not too far distant.
